They are finally here....the fifth grade chrome books!! So exciting.
On Wednesday, students will have an overview of the handbook and on Friday, they will get to use them for the first time! Yeah!
Once we have started using the chrome books, my blog will be our starting point each day in science!

Welcome to Science!
August, 2018
Hello Fifth Graders!! Welcome to Science!! I am excited to be working with you this year in my favorite subject: SCIENCE!
I have a fun year planned for us.....we will begin the year studying science safety, scientific method, and ecosystems! In November, the Harris Center will join us as we compare the different ecosystems on our school property. As the year progresses, we will be studying the Earth, Sun, and Moon as we focus on patterns in space and end the year studying Newton's Three Laws of Motion and experiment on motion and design. At some point during the spring, you will participate in our school-wide science fair and be able to study something that truly interests you and create an experiment on that topic.
Lastly, check out the fifth grade science club. We stay after school twice a month and really explore STEM. We build, experiment, create, and practice science all year long and have a lot of fun doing so!!
